This summer of 2023 will be my 7th summer as the head coach of Huntington Hills Swim Team. I could not be more proud of what the team has accomplished in these past six summers. We have the best families, swimmers, and Swim Board in Ft Collins. Also, our assistant coaches are awesome, as well!
I began swimming at age 7, in the state of Iowa. I swam competitively until my first year in college. My specialty was the IM and fly. As an adult, I swim open water races, which included the 10K at the Horsetooth Reservoir.
My goal as a coach is that kiddos are kept safe, and that we provide an environment where there is structure and consistency every day. We want swimmers to work hard but to enjoy their time in the pool. Swimming is hard and challenging but we have a lot of fun during the practices.
My name is Jack, and this will be my second year as a life guard and swim coach for the Huntington Hills Swim Team. I am also excited to teach group and private swim lessons this summer.
This year I will be a Senior at Fossil Ridge High School where I run track and cross country and am in National Honor Society and Skills USA. I love to swim, ski, mountain bike, run, and see friends.
I have been swimming with Huntington Hills since I was 7 years old. I have loved the community on our team ever since I started swimming with Coach Heather and even won the Hurricane of the Year sportsmanship award from her in 2015. I like teaching the younger swimmers how to be a good sport, have fun and become better swimmers. The team continues to have a fun environment with Coach Jerry, and I am happy he is back as he has been a great mentor. My personal goal for this season is to make it to the state meet in the breaststroke and for each swimmer on the team to have their best season.
