Coaches Recap. #7. July 17th

HH Swim Families

A Busy week as the season is winding down!

A home  meet: last Wednesday, a DQ party on Thursday night (with over half our team) we traveled to Nelson Farms yesterday:  HH had 71 swimmers yesterday:  We had a few scratches but every swimmer who was asked to swim a double on a relay(two legs on a relay) without hesitation said, “I’ll do it!”    Overall:  34% of HH swims had improved times:  So many great races:  results are attached -Ribbons will be ready Monday on deck:  Thank you to swim moms Wilma N, Summer F and Christin C  for all your help at NF with wrangling little ones for relays:

STATE QUALIFIED:  Ryan T in boys 15-16;  400 free. This is Ryan’s first year of competing in the pool:  Making state is so very IMPRESSIVE!    This makes 11 HH swimmers to qualify for state.  Hoping for more at City Meet.    We did have a few DQs Saturday:  STATE goal.  Top 3 in our division

CITY MEET. we have 68 total swimmers. I thank every parent who has signed up their swimmer. I realize this costs additional money and I want you to know how much I appreciate your sacrifice:   This is a TEAM sport with much individual success:  We have 3 swimmers out with injuries, all whom are hoping to swim at City Meet:  This is the culture I have attempted to cultivate.  Rise to the challenge. Face your fears and be their first your team and teammates!   Super proud of all our swimmers who will swim this Friday and Saturday!  Our Team Goal is top 3 of 18 teams:  photo attached Mattias Land new haircut with a HH showing!

NO SPAGHETTI DINNER on Wednesday night. We will have something for all City Swimmers on our last practice for the season (other than State Swimmers) THURSDAY
