HH Swim Families 

we are winding up as the end of the season is near:

At NELSON FARM  yesterday. NO RESULTS yet. What I did see is all 72 HH swimmers giving it  110%!!!  All  showed great teamwork and sportsmanship:  coaches from NF and Village Green mentioned what a “strong team HH is”. OFFICIALS did not DQ any 8 unders.  Ribbons can be picked up on Tuesday.  Thank you Maria G (official at the meet) and Matt M (for timing)! 

COMING UP.  Thursday DQ cake. Serving at 7:30pm.  At 7pm any swimmers wanting to practice starts and turns are welcome:  SATURDAY Meet at WESTFIELD (with STetson Creek and Maple Hill). ENTRY DEADLINE. THURSDAY AT 10am Any parent wanting to time, please sign up!  

MEET  Saturday at Westfield   Warm up 7am. MEET STARTS AT 8am 

CITY MEET.  BIG CHANGE. instead of one team hosting over two days.  For 2023 there will be FIVE host teams, all swimming on Friday July 21.  We are assigned to swim at Parkwood (just east of Lemay) vs Parkwood (80 swimmers) and Genisis (15 swimmers).  Visiting team will provide the majority of the volunteer slots needed.  If we can have four parents time (2 Lanes) and 1 parent help in the clerk of courts that would be awesome. We are providing the starter (Ryan Land) and possibly two officials.  Meet should be done by 12:30pm.  Fee is $12 per swimmer. This includes all races and entry fees:  swimmers can swim up to 4 events plus two relays.   This is not an ideal set up for City Meet but no team offered to host.  The HSL board decided outdoors was better than going inside.   We won’t be the carrot or an egg but we will be the COFFEE BEAN,  as a team.  M

ONCE all 5 host pools have completed their races, all Results will be entered into SwimTopia.  At all five meets, ribbons will be given out for places 1st-6th.  Overall City Meet winners (individual and relays) 1st-2nd and 3rd will receive a MEDAL:  (all awards are given out at our AWESOME TEAM PARTY on July 26th (Wednesday) 

COACHES PLEA OR WISH   CITY MEET is the only meet (other than State) where swimmers earn points for their team:  ALL swimmers can participate at CITY  MEET : goal 72 (or more) swimmers sign up!   The more swimmers we have,  the more relays we can put together:    Relays  have double the points, than of a individual race does 

GOAL  HH is top 3 with the hopes of winning it all   Why NOT HH? There are 3 local teams with more swimmers than HH  But, if we can have at least 70% of our team at City Meet, we have a good shot to be in contention for 1st Place:
