HH. Swim families 

First full week. We primarily focused  on technique, drills,  basic swim items to be efficient, and to swim legally, so no DQs.   Today (Saturday) we had 70 swimmers attend practice, which we focused  on breaststroke. (the main reason for DQs  is breaststroke kick.) & we started working on our starts off of the blocks. ( they all did amazingly well) 

WEDNESDAY PM . Intersquad meet. Meet starts at 5:50 PM. All parents have to do (through SwimTopia) is to checkmark ATTENDING or not attending. All swimmers will swim 4  races ( one of each of the 4 strokes)  IM (individual medley-all 4 strokes) will be optional at the end of the meet:   PIZZA  and Concessions will be available !

 WARM UP. 5-5:15pm 8 under. /  5:15-5:30pm 9-2 ages. 5:30-5:45pm 13 older :  done by 7:30pm? Goal 

Meet SATURDAY. 6/15th. At home Vs Willow Springs and another small team:  meet sign ups will be open Tuesday am. Entry deadline Thursday 10am   Kids can swim up to 3 individual events / coaches will put kids on  relays   Most meets are done by 12 noon   Please note on sign ups if your kiddo is not available for the free really (last event ) HH will warm up first  6:45-7:15   Details to come 

NEW THIS SUMMER. 1- dolphin timing system. Cost of $7k. Thanks to our HH swim board and to our fundraising efforts, equipment fee, and money made at Concessions. This is a huge accomplishment.
2-our new trophy case located outside of the restrooms holding Trophies and we hope to add to it. 

3-A new HH individual record banner should be up within a week.4-our first ever swim meet – invitational outside of Fort Collins. Ken Caryl meet  taking place in two weeks. Hoping as many swimmers will attend as possible. We are the only Fort Collins team and who was invited. it’s a huge honor.

TEAM GOAL 2024.  Coaches and swimmers have decided our goal is to REPEAT as CITY champions. This will be accomplished through hard work, teamwork, and as many kids participating at city meet as possible.
