Warm-ups:       7:20-7:40 (Cat 3&4), 7:35-7:50 (Cat 2), 7:50-8:00 (Cat 1)

Our Intrasquad Meet is a fun and friendly "practice meet" and a great way to kick off the swim season. It is an opportunity for new swimmers and families, who have never been to a swim meet, to get introduced to the process and what to expect for the rest of the summer meets. It is also a great chance for us to test our systems and equipment, and to refamiliarize ourselves with all the different job roles and responsibilities that it takes to run an efficient meet. Lastly we will use this opportunity to collect baseline times for all swimmers so we can better place them on relays for our future meets.

This means we will be running this as a "sprint" meet where every swimmer will swim short distances of each stroke (25 yards for 8 & under, 50 yards for 9 & above). If a swimmer is not comfortable swimming a particular stroke, that is not a problem. We encourage everyone to try all strokes even if they don't love the stroke, but this is not a time to feel pressured into doing something they aren't comfortable with, so please put a note in the comment section or speak with coach Jerry if there are strokes that you would like to opt out of.
